Dr. Matthew Schuette is a graduate of Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dr. Schuette began the practice of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1994 as a private practitioner and remained in private practice for the next 22 years. In August, 2016 he joined the SMH Physician Network to provide Pulmonary and Criitcal Care Services to the Slidell community. Dr. Schuette specializes in the care of individuals with pulmonary diseases, such as COPD, emphysema, and asthma, and in the care of the critically ill. He has been named as a "Top Physcian" by Louisiana Life Magazine and selected for inclusion in the "Best Doctors in America" Database.
